Community Engagement Exchange Fellow

Reshma is a Community Engagement Exchange (CEE) Fellow and a dedicated environmental advocate from Fiji, deeply committed to ocean sustainability and climate action. She holds a degree and post-grad in Environmental Science and Environmental Geoscience respectively. She has honed my interest in holistic ocean solutions that involved active participation in the COP28, Asia-Pacific & Climate Weeks, and the 2023 Our Ocean Youth Leadership Summit at the Our Ocean Conference, showcasing her dedication to inspiring change. Reshma is also actively engaged with youth organizations in her home country that tackle climate change such as the Alliance for Future Generations Fiji, Sustainable Ocean Alliance Pacific Hub, and more. During her tenure at the Marine Conservation Institute, Reshma aims to delve into scientific research within marine protected areas and explore technological innovations. Simultaneously, she aspires to foster cultural and indigenous perspectives from Fijian MPAs to contribute to a comprehensive and holistic approach to marine conservation.
