Nikki Harasta

Nikki Harasta was raised in Ventura, California, where her love and respect for marine life started at a young age. She earned her B.S. in Physiology from Seattle Pacific University in pursuit of medicine. While her educational background is unconventional for the marine conservation policy sector, her studies of the natural sciences led to an awareness of the ever-worsening effects of climate change and inspired a vocational pivot. She now supports the MPAtlas team by investigating the conservation management policies of MPAs around the world.
