Marine Protection Atlas Intern

Natascha Jaspert, born in Cologne, earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Göttingen in Germany. Her studies mainly involved ecology and conservation, funneling into her thesis, where she researched predation on the endangered Grey Partridge and implications for conservation measures in Lower Saxony. After monitoring coral reefs in Seychelles as a research assistant, her interest shifted towards the often-forgotten marine environment.

In the last steps of her Master’s degree in Marine Science and Climate Change at the University of Gibraltar, her dissertation focuses on assessing the success of German MPAs. By collaborating closely with MPAtlas, Natascha hopes to contribute to a more sustainable and symbiotic development to safeguard marine ecosystems worldwide.
