Blue Parks Science Intern

Emma grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, and has always loved the ocean and the creatures found within. After discovering this passion as a child while volunteering at the local aquarium, she knew this was what she wanted to study in college and beyond. She completed her bachelor’s degree in marine science and conservation from Duke University with minors in biology and environmental science & policy. After graduating in the spring of 2023, she went on to pursue a master’s degree in marine conservation at the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science. As part of degree requirements, she is completing the Blue Parks Conservation Science Internship for graduation at the end of the 2024 summer. As a Blue Parks Intern, she is excited to begin interning at a marine-focused NGO and gain experience working with marine protected areas around the world.
