Courtney Milley

Policy Intern

Courtney Milley grew up in Massachusetts, in the coastal region of Cape Cod, where she always felt the ocean environment was as much a part of her as her right arm. After leaving New England to pursue a degree in Marine Biology from the University of Miami, she quickly fell in love with the policy process and connecting the newest science to decision-makers. Courtney then earned her Master’s in Marine Affairs from the University of Rhode Island. At URI she focused her research on message framing and its effects on public support for plastic reduction policies. She is excited to continue these passions by supporting the policy initiatives at the Marine Conservation Institute.
